Graphics Engines
Custom real-time rendering and game-engine technology, written from first principles. The systems that make pixels move, light behave, and worlds run smoothly.
Our capabilitiesA graphics art studio where the engine and the art are built under one roof.
Richard Hammer engineers the technology that renders the world; Owen Hammer designs the world worth rendering. Our debut title is in development now.
Most studios license an engine and hire out the art. We build both ends ourselves — which means the tools bend to the vision instead of the other way around.

Our capabilitiesConcept art, characters, environments, and visual identity. The design language that gives a world its point of view — and makes it worth watching.
Our capabilitiesOriginal games built on our own technology, from prototype to release. Our debut title is the first thing this studio was founded to make.
See what’s in the worksThis is the project the studio was founded around — a game whose look, feel, and technology are all made in-house. Richard is building the engine it runs on while Owen shapes its world and characters.
We’re keeping the details under wraps a little longer. Follow along and you’ll be among the first to see it.
Altered Perspective Studios is a father-and-son team. Richard works from Blacksburg, Virginia; Owen from Savannah, Georgia. The distance is a feature: engine and art develop in parallel and meet in the middle, where the interesting decisions get made.
The name is a promise. Good graphics don’t just show you a world — they change how you see it.
Meet the studioWhether it’s a game, an engine, or art direction for a project of your own — we’d love to hear what you’re imagining.
