Richard Hammer
Richard builds the graphics engines the studio’s games run on — the rendering, the performance, and the tooling underneath the art. If it draws to the screen, he wrote the thing that draws it.
Alter your perspective and a familiar thing becomes new. That’s the whole job of graphics — and the reason this studio has the name it does.
Altered Perspective Studios is a family studio built on a simple split of labor: one of us makes the technology that draws the world, the other makes the world worth drawing.
Richard has spent a career close to the machine — the systems, the performance, the hard parts of making pixels behave. Owen came up on the other side, drawing the things those systems would one day render. Put them together and you get a studio that owns its whole pipeline, from the shader to the sketch.
We work across two cities and treat that as a strength. Distance keeps each discipline honest and independent, and the work is better for the daily conversation between them.

Owen is the studio’s artist — concepts, characters, and the visual identity of everything we make. He designs the worlds; the engine just has to keep up.
Engine and art under one roof means no compromise gets blamed on someone else’s tools.
We’re happiest when a player stops to look at something a second time. That’s the bar.
We’d rather under-promise and reveal something finished than trade in hype.
Questions, collaborations, or just curious what we’re building? The door’s open.
